HSP TYPES

High sensitivity can consist of different shapes and types!

Create high sensitivity:

  • Feeling clear
  • Bright hearing
  • Bright smelling
  • Seeing clearly
  • Knowing clearly

With every sensitive person or child, the degree of sensitivity is different. Some notice little of their high sensitivity, others intensify and others have multiple forms! This is not a strange phenomenon, it belongs to HSP which is a nice extra character property if you can handle it and accept it.

High sensitivity Types:

  • Rest seekers
  • Sensation seekers

Clearly personal characteristics can be recognized with both types, but with one type the most will be recognition. The qualities and pitfalls of both tranquility and thrill seekers can vary per highly sensitive person or child!

Rest seekers

Approximately 70% of HSP people fall under this type of HSP.

The need to look for peace and nature more regularly is greater than with other people. One does not like taking risks and busy and often avoids them. The social environment is often smaller because one prefers to have 1 to 1 contact than in a group. Feelings and stimuli can ensure isolation or loneliness. One is more aware of himself and others and is less impulsive and therefore has a more regular life with more overview.

Sensation seekers

Approximately 30% of the HSP people fall under this type of HSP.

They are called High Sensation Seekers, abbreviated HSP HSS.

Sensation seekers are a type of HSP with a strong character, one loves sensations, stimuli or impressions and searches for them consciously. People are more aware of details and have more than average interests. A pitfall for this type of HSP can be exhaustion and becoming overburdened by too many interests.

It is important to take regular rest and to see that getting in balance is important for the condition. People are often quickly looked for things that are confusing for the environment.

An HSP HSS is oriented to the outside world instead of seeking peace one goes in search of intense stimuli and experiences. Social contacts are important, people love people. Risks, excitement, adventure, creativity and ideas create a vibrant life full of challenges!

Key point for both types: Accept high sensitivity and learn to deal with it!
